Before bridges took over our highways, ferries were the only way travellers could cross the Murray River.

In the Mid Murray region, many ferries operate and provide free access to travellers. 

Hop out of your car and take in the scenery down the vast expanse of the Murray River as far as the eye can see.  Have a chat to the ferry driver and enjoy the photographic opportunity and a chance to stretch your legs on water.
