Opening hours have been reduced at the Blanchetown Community Hub in line with the Federal Government’s restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19. From 9am Monday, 30 March, the Hub will open on Thursdays only, from 10am to 2pm for general customer service and Centrelink access. There will be no library or internet café services when the office is open, due to the Federal Government’s current regulations to close these services across Australia. Maintaining an open office on reduced hours will assist in minimising the public health risk both to Council staff and the wider community, while still providing access to essential services. Where possible, however, Council urges all residents to use phone or online options to conduct Council business or to access Centrelink support. Council encourages people to phone ahead if they plan to attend the Hub or any of their other facilities to check whether their inquiry can be handled over the phone or email. Anyone who is unwell, or has been in contact with anyone who has travelled interstate or overseas recently, should not attend the Hub or any other Council facility in person.
