Flood Water Scenic Drive

The Murray River is a natural wonderland that is currently experiencing flood waters.

High Rivers and Floods are a natural phenomenon of the Murray Darling Basin and river systems that offer a natural process to keep the environment healthy, strong and sustainable.  Visitors can witness the beauty of the Murray River and surrounds and make the most of this rare event in a safe way.

Whilst activities on the river are currently not accessible, including ferry servies, the following trail will guide you around the Mid Murray region, on both sides of the river, visiting scenic lookouts, towns and villages where you will be made to feel welcome and get the best views of the river.

This journey has been designed to start and finish in Mannum but you can begin in any town mentioned below, simply follow the trail from your nearest point of convenience and follow the directions.

Please take care shile driving and visiting the Murray River and townships.  Conditions may change and we do not accept any liability for loss or injury when using this trail.  Suggested places to visit are not guaranteed to be available.  Current legislation prevents recreational activity on the river - please do not fish, kayak, boat, Jet Ski on the river or walk onto any levee bank.
