PW Mayflower begins regular cruising in Mannum

As Mannum is the birthplace of the paddle steamer on the Murray River, it is very exciting to now offer a regular heritage paddle wheeler on board the PW Mayflower, the oldest paddle wheeler in South Australia.

Heritage river cruising will be on offer twice a week in the Murray River Lakes & Coorong Region at Mannum from Tuesday 5th September on the Mayflower built in 1884 which has an amazing history to share with passengers.

Re-commissioned in November 2016, the Mayflower has undergone a two half year restoration by a dedicated group of volunteers at the Mannum Dock

Museum.

The Mayflower will cruise every Tuesday and Thursday at 10.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m on a 1.5 hour cruise and has a capacity of 25 passengers.  She will also cruise on the first Sunday of every month at the same times in conjunction with the Mannum Markets at Arnold Park next door to the ferry.

Tea/Coffee and bar facilities are available on board and the Captain’s commentary will immerse passengers in the Murray River’s rich history as they cruise the ever-changing river landscape.

Private charter is also available and for further information and bookings contact the Mannum Visitor Information Centre on 85691303 or visit www.psmarion.com or www.mannum.org.au.
