Media Release - $12000 prize pool for new look Kayak Fishing competition at Bowhill

 Fishing is serene at any time but when on a kayak traversing the Murray River and its backwaters, takes you on an infinite and engaging adventure.


The Bowhill community have the fishing recipe right when you mix magnificent Murray River scenery and the serenity of Kayak Fishing with the inaugural Bowhill Kayak Fishing Competition on the 27th to 29th July.


Bow Hill’s river frontage will come alive with this new inland water fishing craze with a myriad of colourful kayaks and characters hoping to win the big catch of the day to claim the grand prize of a fishing kayak worth $2000 plus cash and prizes proudly sponsored by Adelaide Canoe Works and Burnits Kookas.


This exciting new fishing event with a total prize pool of $12000 is sure to open up endless river adventures and big catch opportunities opposed to those angler competitions on the land.


Spectactors are welcome with free entry and there will be fishing kayaks on show by Adelaide Canoe Works.  Non-competitors are welcome to join the evening meals on Friday and Saturday night at a cost of $20.00 per person with bookings essential.
