Trucks rally together by the River for the biggest
showcase of sound and shine

Helping the community is what the SA Truck and Ute Show is all
about when the big rigs come to town in Mannum on the
Sunday of the June long weekend.
Now in its seventh year this massive show ‘n’ shine event takes
over this magnificent riverside town to raise money for
community projects.
At midday, Mannum will light up with over 80 truck horns and
engines creating a symphony of trucking sound with this newly
introduced spectacle when all the truck entries rev up together
for the 2018 event.
To add to the colour and giant surround, the Super Heroes
Freightiner Colorado from Adelaide will be on display for the
first time along with street fashions parades for the ladies said
Mannum Progress Association Chairperson, Petrea Sanchez.
“Our committee works hard to introduce new displays each
and this year there will also be radio controlled mini truck
exhibitions and rally cars on display”.
Mannum’s helipad, CCTV and Christmas Pageant all benefit
from the staging of the this award winning event said Mid
Murray Council Mayor, Dave Burgess.
“The dedicated and passionate work of the volunteers of the
Mannum Progress Association should be commended for their
commitment to this event to bring Mannum alive in the winter
Utes come from all over the State to participate in the riverside
showcase and new exhibits of specialty panel vans and bikes
will expand this event full of colour, chrome and pride.
Over 40 Show n Shine categories will attract competitors and
enthusiasts with fun categories including Most Truck Aerials,
Most Ute Stickers, Best Feral Ute and the Dirtiest 4 Wheel Drive
and the Paddle Steamer Marion will be offering one hour
cruises at Mary Ann Reserve.
Entry is only $5.00 and children under 16 are free. Main street
opens at 10.00 a.m. and event concludes at 4pm Free parking
and shuttle bus will be available at the Mannum Football Oval
to take visitors to Mannum’s main street and Mary Ann
